Embodying the Wisdom of 12 Life-Changing Books Through Dance



12 Books, 12 Dances is a transformative series of workshops that invites you to experience the profound wisdom of 12 life-changing books—not only through intellectual understanding but, most importantly, through the language of movement. Based on the principles of Biodanza, this holistic approach brings the teachings of these powerful books into the body, helping you internalize their ideas on a deeper, more intuitive level.

Each workshop is dedicated to a different book, covering themes of creativity, spirituality, relationships, abundance, leadership, and personal growth. You don’t need to have read the books, as the teachings are transformed into embodied experiences through dance. This journey goes beyond the mind, engaging the soul and the body, providing a space for personal and collective transformation.

The Power of Biodanza:

Biodanza, or the “dance of life,” activates the deep, affective potentials of human connection, creativity, and self-expression. This practice invites participants to reconnect with the primal wisdom of their bodies, moving beyond intellectual understanding to access deeper emotional and spiritual truths. Rooted in ancient and sacred dance traditions, Biodanza is the perfect medium for embodying the wisdom of these books.

Each workshop is a vivencial experience, offering participants the opportunity to feel the teachings come alive in their bodies. Through dynamic group and partner exercises, the workshops will explore key themes like love, resilience, manifestation, and surrender, all while fostering deep connection with others and the self.



An Invitation to Transform:

The 12 Books, 12 Dances series invites you to fully embody the life-changing wisdom of these books. Each dance is a journey beyond words, allowing you to engage in a shared ritual of personal transformation, deep connection, and creative exploration. Through the universal language of movement, you will not only learn these teachings—you will live them, dancing your way to deeper understanding, healing, and growth.

This journey is a call to awaken body, mind, and spirit through dance, celebrating the wisdom these books offer on both an individual and collective level.



REGISTRATION


8 classes on Fridays from 7.30pm to 10pm in Lisbon

(21st and 28th March; 4th April; 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th May; 6th June - provisional dates, may be subject to change)


And the last 4 books will be danced at a weekend retreat, close to nature, 1 hour from Lisbon (12 and 13 July).


You can register for just one class or take part in all of them, but given the limited number of places, when registering you must indicate which books you want to dance, as we will consider participation in order of booking (and certain books may sell out).

Biography:

Ana Teresa Silva is an award-winning Portuguese writer and journalist with over 30 years of experience in storytelling and transformative practices. Throughout her career, she has shared stories that inspire personal and collective growth, promoting sustainability, consciousness, and human connection. As the founder of IM Magazine, she curated inspiring narratives from around the world, reaching readers in 145 countries and receiving praise from global changemakers like Dr. Daniel Wahl and Paul Hawken.


With eight published books, Ana Teresa’s work spans different genres. Her most recent novel, The Truth (2023), blends fiction with reality, weaving interviews with real-world figures such as Freddy Silva and Pam Gregory into a journey of spiritual and personal discovery. Her writing is deeply introspective, often exploring themes of truth, love, and the spiritual path.


Ana Teresa is also a certified Biodanza facilitator, combining her love of writing with the power of movement. She is a practitioner of PSYCH-K® and NLP, a facilitator of Therapeutic Playback Theatre and Meditation, and a trainer in Creative Writing and Fiction. Her holistic approach reflects a commitment to body-mind-heart-soul integration.
